Getting It: Discovered at the age of 14, this British supermodel embodied the waif look that reigned during the 1990s, modelling for top brands like Calvin Klein and Dior. She dated actor Johnny Depp for a few years in the 1990s and the combined power of their killer cheekbones made them one of the coolest celebrity couples of the time. A long-standing practice of not giving interviews also gave her an aura of glamorous mystery.
Losing It: A 2005 tabloid expose that showed Moss doing cocaine plunged her career into temporary uncertainty, although she soon recovered, starring in major ad campaigns for the likes of Burberry and Versace. Somewhat more fatal to her allure were the numerous interviews she started doing to promote her Topshop line, which launched in 2007. As it turned out, there wasn't much behind that sphinx-like smoulder.
