Gwyneth Paltrow's golden-child aura fast dimming
by Hong Xinyi

GWYNETH PALTROW, 37

Getting It: The daughter of director Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner led a charmed Hollywood life from the start of her career, scoring lead roles in movies like Emma and Sliding Doors and earning praise for her charming screen presence. Dating screen hunks like Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck further cemented her status as the classy blonde screen princess who had it all.

Losing It:
Maybe it was the ill-fitting Ralph Lauren pink princess-cut gown she wore or perhaps it was the overly weepy acceptance speech, but Paltrow's golden-child aura started to dim after she won the Best Actress Oscar in 1998 for Shakespeare In Love, beating powerhouse nominees like Cate Blanchett and Meryl Streep.

Her post-Oscar career included duds like Duets and Shallow Hal and she was last seen as a love interest in action flick Iron Man.

She and hubby Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, have been dubbed by gossip rags as one of the most boring celebrity couples. Naming their first child Apple in 2004 earned them a fresh round of pundit mockery. Her lifestyle website Goop has suffered the same fate, not least because she blithely offers five-star hotels and posh restaurants as attainable suggestions for all and sundry.

Other stars that seems to be losing it:
