THERE are many ways to celebrate women, and one of the ways is to express it through beautifying what we wear closest to our skin.
In its fourth year, The Triumph Inspiration Award put young fashion students to the test.
Twelve finalists from three schools - Lasalle College of Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and the Raffles Design Institute - gathered to showcase their lingerie designs and vie for the chance to represent Singapore in the international competition in Berlin.
The theme for this year's competition is "125 years of Celebrating women", and lingerie designs were made to reflect the theme.
Winnie Setio, from Raffles Design Institute was Singapore's National Winner. Her winning design is called "Beau De Contour". She walked away with cash and prizes worth up to $2000 and also an all expenses paid tip to represent Singapore in the International Final of the Triumph Inspiration Final 2011 in Berlin.
Nelly from Lasalle College of the Arts was the first runner-up with her creation "Eve", and Sophia Eng from Raffles Design Institute was awarded second runner-up with her design "The Modern Vintage".
