Lady Gaga unworthy of "Fashion Icon Award"?
by Charlene Ng

CALL the fashion police.

While some stars made bold fashion choices that were eye-catching at the recent Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards, some unfortunately were not so successful.

Held in New York City on June 6, the night, meant to pay tribute to fashion designers, saw many fashion misses -- notably, Lady Gaga, who clinched the Fashion Icon Award, made a statement as always, though we're not sure its a look anybody can rock.

The star was seen wearing a dramatic black mullet dress bedazzled at the breast area, paired with 10-inch platform heels, complete with light electric blue hair, defined bangs, bold eyebrows and red lips.

Also, actress Chloe Sevingy failed miserably in her attempt to fuse the Rock 'n' Roll and ladylike look together.

She combined a leathery black top with slits at the shoulders with a white, knee-length eyelet pencil skirt and black heels with dainty trimmings, which could only spell out one thing - fashion disaster.

Meanwhile, other stars seemed to have been able to make the mark.

Designer Erin Fetherson looked oh-so-feminine in her textured pastel pink strapless number and nude coloured heels, which complemented her mod-looking bob, platinum blonde hair and red lipstick perfectly.

Also look out for 90-year old fashion icon Iris Apfel, who, despite her age, clearly refuses to dress like a frail old lady.

She was seen in a yellow top, blinged out with multiple chains and topped off with bold "Willy Wonka" glasses.
