Power up

Recharge by participating in the CITISPA Ladies Power Run which seeks to empower women and enrich lives.

Some 3000 ladies will be running alongside 100 children with special needs in a sporting event which will take place next Sunday, March 28 and kick off at 7am from the Playground at the Big Splash.

On the same day, CITISPA and Central Singapore CDC will be launching the EmPower Fund.

The funds raised will be used to support developmental programmes of selected Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) in the Central District, to nurture children with special needs.

Mr Gerald Teo, CEO of CITISPA, said: “CITISPA has always been passionate about providing under-privileged children with opportunities, and this is the second time we are working with Central Singapore CDC to raise funds towards this cause.

"This run is about encouraging women to take a more proactive approach to a healthy life - the CITISPA way, as well as helping children with special needs. The run represents the beginning of a life journey for the 100 kids, CITISPA hopes to assist them along this lifelong journey with the funds raised. ”

CITISPA aims to raise $100,000 for this fund, with Central Singapore CDC matching a dollar for every dollar raised for this fund.

As an added motivation to join the run, each participant will receive an attractive runner’s kit which includes a complimentary CITISPA face/ body/ spa treatment worth $128, a limited edition CITISPA Mizuno Running Singlet, a CITISPA Mizuno Gym Bag.

The registration fee is just $39.90 for early birds who sign up before 28 February 2010. Register online at www.citispapowerrun.com.sg or at any CITISPA branch.
