Celebs' secrets to looking good naked
by Leslie Kay Lim

Model/actress Liv Lo, 28

What are your secrets to looking good naked?

Confidence, exercise and maybe a bit of dim lighting. I am always shocked when girls tell me about how they stay thin with diet pills, surgery or by starving themselves.

It’s almost as if they want to have a good figure from lying down all day. Impossible! Even Marilyn Monroe did a bust-firming exercise routine every morning.

For myself, yoga is key. It trims fat in any unwanted location and helps correct posture. The strength and flexibility I get from yoga keep me strong and fit.

When do you feel sexiest?

When I make an effort to dress up. There is empowerment in an appealing appearance and I definitely notice it when I have a dozen extra pairs of eyes on me.

Actor/host Allan Wu, 41

If you aren’t happy with the body staring back at you in the mirror, then the only person who can do anything about this situation is you.

I’ve always believed an even combination of aerobic exercise, coupled with weightlifting, will do wonders for your body. For example, I’ll try to run two or three times a week for a minimum of 30 minutes and then I’ll go to the gym to hit the weights on alternate days. Staying hydrated with water and getting sufficient rest are important too.

Finally, I definitely don’t mind a nice, even, golden tan because it just makes you look healthier, more toned and defined too.

When do you feel sexiest?

When I’m either wearing a nice suit or just lounging around the house with only a pair of shorts on. I think if you can feel good about yourself in those two opposite conditions, then you are doing “sexy” pretty well.

TV presenter Nikki Muller, 28

What are your secrets to looking good naked?

I’ve come to realise that confidence is the sexiest asset any man or woman can have. It’s taken me a long time to feel comfortable as I am. I have a tendency to gain weight easily.

These are the things I keep in mind to keep the weight off – having a good support system by having encouraging people around me, finding a type of exercise I like, buying a heart-rate monitor, having goal outfits for every stage of the journey and having a cheat day once a week.

I think joining group classes or weekend boot camps is a great idea to kick-start metabolism too.

When do you feel sexiest?

When I take my time with things. I think there is such an elegance to doing things slowly.

If I have an event or a party to attend, I want to look and feel my best. I give myself a few hours to get excited about the people I will see and what I’m going to wear. Every little detail becomes something to relish.
