He seems like the real thing

Angelica Sharon,23,producer

AT 23, she has never had a boyfriend. Miss Angelica Sharon, who moved here from Indonesia when she was two, has had difficulty meeting a suitable local guy to date.

The Singapore permanent resident of Japanese, Dutch, Indonesian and Javanese descent admitted that she would love to experience being in a relationship.

Miss Sharon is a part-time actress who has starred in Indonesian TV dramas such as Cinta Fitri.

And if the sweet-looking producer at a local advertising firm wins a date with Paul Foster, she'll have her good friend to thank.

After all, it was her friend who had sent in the application on her behalf.

Said Miss Sharon: "I was pretty shocked when my friend messaged me and told me that I might be spending this Valentine's with Paul.

"I had met him at a Nokia event a while ago and I really liked him and my friend knew about it.

"He was so tall and I remembered looking up at him shyly when I asked to take a photograph with him." Having been on casual group dates in the past, Miss Sharon said that she had been hurt by men who had ended up being jerks.

"There was this guy who was sweet and I thought it was obvious that he was interested in me.

"Then once when my friend asked him if he was taking his girlfriend, meaning me, to a party, he was taken aback and said that I must have read too much into things.

"I just want to meet a nice man and Paul seems like the real thing."
