TAIWAN - Taiwanese pop star Ella Chen will be spending Chinese New Year with her in-laws in Malacca, reported China Press.

Chen, who married Malaccan Alvin Lai in May, is expected to arrive in Malacca on the first day of Chinese New Year on Sunday after performing in China a day before.

Her fans are already buzzing with excitement after it was reported that her itinerary might include visits around the old city.

However, this will not be Chen's first visit to her in-laws during Chinese New Year as she also spent the festive occasion with them last year.
