Wang Lee Hom and Shu Qi's pairing have raised many eyebrows among their fans.

Rumours about their relationship began when Shu Qi first starred as the female lead in Lee Hom's music video for his song, The First Morning. He was full of praise for her performance.

The couple were on such good terms that they even flew to Japan together, where they went shopping for jewellery. Spotted by eagle-eyed fans, Lee Hom eventually explained that Shu Qi was at the jewellery store with him to help him with jewellery he was buying for his mother.

However, their pairing did help to stop rumours of Lee Hom being gay. He was once spotted by Hong Kong paparrazi visting Shu Qi in her home late one night. The couple stayed indoors for three days and were seen sipping champagne and eating ice-cream together. On the second day, Shu Qi was also seen embracing Lee Hom in a passionate hug.

But the couple's relationship seems to have ended in August last year, three years after the media and public first found out about it. Lee Hom's dedication to furthering his singing career and lack of time were given as reason for their break-up, causing him to neglect Shu Qi and spend less time with her. She was said to be very dissatisfied with him for this.

Shu Qi also stated publicly during one of her promotional events that she believed a relationship required both parties' commitment, patience and giving.

Meanwhile, Lee Hom also confessed to his own inability to devote time to maintain a relationship, given his own singing and promotional schedule.
