Popular hair salon chain Shunji Matsuo recently opened its new flagship salon at The Heeren in Orchard Road.

Located on the fifth floor, the 3800-square-foot salon boasts a minimalist design that is almost all white. Formerly situated at Wellington Building, the new salon can seat up to 54 customers at any one time. The main styling area has full floor to ceiling glass windows that overlook Orchard Road.

Special features include treatment armchairs from Japan designed to provide comfort and adjustable basins for better head fit during washing. The salon also uses the latest in Japanese micro nano-technology to protect hair from from damage during treatment.

Also available are the latest Armino hair colour ranges fresh off the runways in Tokyo.

The salon also features a browse-and buy-retail area and coffee bar that showcases Aveda eco-friendly haircare and styling products.
