Reports of any desperate suicide bids by Miffty Zhang to see Joe Nieh are not true, says the third party at the centre of this relationship storm.

Miffty had issued a statement through her lawyer in Hong Kong to deny that she had posted her intentions of committing suicide on her blog. She also said that this would be the last time she would comment on her relationship with Joe. In addition, she said: "I have a responsibility to come out and offer my utmost apologies to anyone who have been affected by this matter."

Miffty also clarified that after her relationship with Joe was revealed to the public, she had gone back to her home to reflect, and also closed her blog the next day. Therefore, the reports about her blog after that, including those of her wanting to commit suicide, were not true.

She said that her blog had been hacked into, and certain unflattering pictures had been doctored with. She added that she is reserving her right to pursue responsibility with media reports that were untrue.
