Jil Sander's fashion show Act 2 for Fall/Winter 2009/10
by

ITALY, Milan - Raf Simons divided his show into two distinct parts. The first paid homage to the minimalist heritage left by the famous founder of the fashion house, Jil Sander. Cuts were clean and precise. Small, simple coats without buttons or collars were worn with roll-neck jumpers and loose, pleated trousers, or with trick-of-the-eye suit dresses. The second part was strongly inspired by the ceramics of famous French sculptor Pol Chambost (1906 – 1983). Curved details were plentiful and horsehair boning was used to create sculptural shapes.

Dresses would open out to create an interaction of concave and convex lines. Corolla skirts revealed contrasting colours. Clay-coloured leather and knitwear made up an outfit along with jumpsuits or short-sleeved dresses. This magnificent collection once again proved the indisputable talent of Raf Simons and the Jil Sander ateliers.
