Singer Selina Jen, the "S" of the popular pop group S.H.E., married yesterday in a ceremony presided over by President Ma Ying-jeou in Taipei, capping a storied year after suffering from serious burns in a filming accident in mainland China last October.

The list of some 1,000 guests at the ceremony reads like a "who's who" of the Taiwan entertainment industry, business leaders and political figures including her S.H.E. comrades Hebe Tien and Ella Chen.

A-listers such as Amei Chang, Jolin Tsai, Leehom Wang and Chilin Lin were also in attendance.

Guests who were not from the showbiz industry included influencial people like Taiwan tycoon Terry Gou, Premier Wu Den-yih and Legislative Speaker Wang Jin-pyng. Also attending the banquet were the medical team that treated Jen in the past year.

The stars were attending mostly as the bride's friends and the political and business figures as guests of the bridegroom, Richard Chang.
