Stylo, Malaysia's biggest annual fashion event presented by Mercedes Benz and Visa as official card, has returned and tomorrow marks the first day of the festival event, which is now in its third year running.
Stylo Fashion Grand Prix KL 2010, in celebration of the 12th Malaysian F1 Grand Prix season, will run for eight days – starting from March 25 to April 3 – and feature the work of over 70 fashion designers and 100 artists, including international ones like Lady Gaga's designer Marko Mitanovski as well as local indie designers
Kicking off the event is the Grand Opening on Thursday, which will take place at 10pm at Asian Heritage Row, Kuala Lumpur.
Imagine the fun you will have with a fashion party themed 'The 7 Deadly Sins... Pyjamas, Pillow & Bolster'.
Yes, you guessed right: the dress code for the night is, well, pyjamas with pillows and bolsters. However, the definition of sleepwear may vary for different people, which means you can also show up in tuxedo, ball-gown or tiara and be equally welcomed – if that's your routine sleepwear.
Why 'The 7 Deadly Sins'? As we have told you earlier, in line with the global environmental message, 28 giant sculptures have been constructed using waste materials like carton boxes, tin cans, plastic and newspapers.
The first seven of them, in the shape of a stiletto, a button, a bag, a necktie, a pair of sunglasses, a necklace and a dress – representing the Seven Deadly Sins – were first unveiled at the Pavilion KL on March 11.
That was not the end of it. Another seven will now be showcased at this party. An abandoned club in the Asian Heritage Row has been modified into the Manor of the 7 Deadly Sins for this purpose.
