WHAT: Nope, this is not a pretend wedding photo taken during the filming of a music video. The local singer-songwriter really tied the knot on the sly last month.

Joi, a former optician, revealed this on her blog on Wednesday. Little else is known about her husband, known only as Mr Chan, except that he’s a Piscean, was also an optometry student, and is a professional in an international company.

Joi wrote on her blog: “Now I understand I don’t have to be afraid of standing alone. He has always put me first for the past decade.

“I feel I’m bethroned like a queen, being showered with love and concern. I feel warmth and well protected, and accepted for the way I have always been.”

According to the media release sent out yesterday, the couple dated for 10 years and Mr Chan even proposed to Joi a few times. Two years ago, he proposed again with a one-carat diamond ring. Joi was reportedly very moved and told him he didn’t need a diamond ring as he captured her heart a long time ago.
