Claudia hangs her clothes in a hangar

WHEN your job is on the fashion runways of Milan and Paris, you naturally end up with a hefty pile of clothes.

That turned into a dilemma for supermodel Claudia Schiffer.

The 38-year-old German stunner told the Mail on Sunday that her wardrobe was overflowing with so many designer outfits that she decided to convert an aircraft hangar into an enormous closet.

Schiffer said she ran out of space in her £5 million ($10.9m) London home.

Instead of clearing out her closet, she just took over an unused helicopter hangar on the grounds of her massive property.

She said: 'I've kept all my clothes. I have a hangar that is normally made for helicopters and I've got all my clothes in there.

'The heli-hangar was (her husband) Matthew's idea. I have so many closets of Chanel in there, it's like a Chanel boutique.'

A source described the hangar as an 'Aladdin's cave' with an 'extraordinary collection of clothes'.
