Love me, love my nipple rings
by Charlene Chua

Why should all you single ladies write in to win a date this Valentine's Day with Paul Foster?

Here's why: He will love you just the way you are.

This is a principle that the Singapore- born British-Chinese TV host has lived by when it comes to relationships and he has walked away from all the women who have tried to change him.

For example, don't ask him to remove his nipple rings, which he says are "a part" of him. In the same vein, 32-year-old Foster won't try to change a thing about you.

If you love to eat, he will join in and stuff his face as well.

Since embarking on this journey to meet his soulmate via The New Paper's date-a-celeb series, which was launched last Monday and features fellow bachelor/radio DJ Mike Kasem, he said he likes what he sees so far from the entries he has received on www.tnp.sg.

The application forms are on our website and the closing date is the end of the week.

Foster told TNP: "I think my nipple rings make me stand out as few celebrities in Singapore have them. I have to clean them three to four times a day because it's after all a wound.

"If a girl has a problem with it, I'll just tell her bye because I shouldn't have to change to please someone else.

"A lot of women I've dated like to play with them and think they're really cool." He added: "So the girl I'm with should just be herself and she should be comfortable doing whatever she wants in front of me. If she wants to get nipple rings too, by all means."

On the women who have written to him so far, he said he was impressed by what they said in their entries. One told him that after she met him at an event, she liked it that his charming TV persona matched his real-life personality.

Another entry he enjoyed was from a woman who was unabashed and honest about the fact that she wanted to date him because he was"really hot".

The 1.84m-tall hunk already has his eye on some of the girls, but was especially tickled when he realised that one application was from a friend who has been wanting to score a date with him for the longest time.

"I think the right thing to do would be to leave my friend out of the selection process, to give other ladies who don't know me a chance to go on a date with me.

"I really like what I see so far, there are some attractive women with sweet personalities."

The women also had burning questions for Foster.

No tattoos

No, he doesn't have tattoos because he once asked his dad when he was 16 if he could get one and his father said no.

Since his dad died of cancer in 1999, he had wanted to get a tattoo of his father's initials near his heart, but chose to listen to what his dad once said, instead.

The nationality of his girlfriend doesn't matter, but he's looking for someone who lives in Singapore as he's tried long-distance relationshipsand they didn't work out.

His deepest darkest secret is that when he was 10, he and his friends set fire to a pile of rubbish at the stairwell of the condominium he was living at. It got out of hand and the firemen had to be summoned.

Foster said he and his friends were severely reprimanded.

He also loves kids and wants to have two of his own - a boy and a girl. A boy would be ideal because only he and a cousin living in theUKare left to "carryon the Foster name".

On whether he'll save his wife or mother first if both were drowning at sea, he said:"My mum can't swim and I hope my wife can so that I can save my mum first.

"But knowing my mum, she'll ask me to save my wife first as my wife's the love of my life. I have to listen to mum."
