Smell luscious with these scents
by Gladys Chung

Inspired by exotic locations, three new lines of fragrance and body products promise to take you somewhere far away.

Scents of the world from The Body Shop

Choose from five scents: crisp Amazonian Wild Lily; fruity Japanese Cherry Blossom; warm Madagascan Vanilla Flower; musky Indian Night Jasmine; and floral Atlas Mountain Rose, our favourite. It has amber, musk and citrus notes, and mountain rose extracts from Morocco.

Prices range from $16.90 for a shower gel to $35.90 for an eau de toilette (50ml). Except for the Madagascan Vanilla Flower, which is available only in EDT, each collection includes a fragrance mist ($20.90), body lotion ($22.90) and perfume oil ($24.90)

Aromatic blends from Kiehl's

There are four scents to choose from:

Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit (which will remind you of the tranquil gardens in Japan); Orange Flower & Lychee (smells like a warm afternoon in a Moroccan garden); and Vanilla & Cedarwood (think the dense jungle of Uganda).

Our favourite is Fig Leaf & Sage, which transports one to the lush countryside of Provence with its clean, refreshing and slightly woody scent.

Aromatic mist, body lotion, body cleanser, $33. Available at Kiehl's counters from Nov 1.

Himalayan Blue from Crabtree & Evelyn

This range promises to "take you to the heart of the Himalayas". This scent has top notes of mandarin, orange leaf and lemon that opens up to rose, ginger, pink pepper and Himalayan golden champaca blossoms, then dries down to sandalwood and leather accords.

The EDT is priced at $28 for 30ml; bath and shower gel, and body lotion, $40.
