Luxury lifestyle brand Shanghai Tang has unveiled Jade Dragon, a new scent inspired by the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in China's Yunnan province.

The fragrance harmonises green notes of elemi and basil with splashes of citrusy grapefruit and kumquat, concluding in a "mysterious veil" of warm cedar wood, musk and precious amber.

The uplifting and invigorating scent balances two significant symbols in the Chinese culture.

Jade represents virtue and serenity, while the dragon is the imperial symbol of power, protection and fortune.

Jade Dragon ($100) will be available at all Shanghai Tang stores from Oct 15.
