US actress Hilary Swank broke up with her beau of five years, talent agent John Campisi, in May, her rep just confirmed.

No details were released on why the low-profile couple called it quits.

Swank, 38, began dating Campisi in December 2006, a year after she divorced actor Chad Lowe.

Swank told InStyle magazine in 2010 when asked about the possibility of settling down with Campisi: "I believe in the sanctity of marriage. John and I, you know, we were both in long marriages and it's not something that we need to rush back into."
