SINGAPORE - Her World Brides will be holdings its first 'Bride of the Year' contest at its Fabulous Weddings show.

The twice-yearly show will be held on June 16 and 17, from 11am to 7pm, in Peridot, Max Atria at Singapore Expo. Admission is free.

12 contestants will sashay down the catwalk in the season’s latest bridal gowns at the June 16 semi-finals. The selected eight will make it to the June 17 finals, where one will be crowned the Bride of the Year 2012.

The winning bride will walk away with a whopping $10,000 worth of prizes. This includes a $6,000 bridal package, a 3D2N stay in Muthi Maya Forest Pool Villa, Khao Yai, Thailand, as well as the title of Her World Brides’ very first "Bride of the Year".

Couples attending the two-day show can check out the 14 booths offering tempting deals over this weekend. Participating vendors include top bridal salons, sought-after photographers, stylish venue providers and more.

Couples who confirm and sign up for any packages during the two days are also eligible for a lucky draw, where they stand a chance to win attractive prizes such as a 5D4N deluxe villa stay in Maldives worth $7,200, a $5,000 diamond pendant from Lee Hwa Jewellery and a 3D2N stay in one-bedroom suite at TENFACE Bangkok worth $2,160.
