SINGAPORE - CLEO magazine is on the hunt for the next runway star at the Audi Fashion Festival 2012 on May 19.

The event will be held at the year's biggest fashion event at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza from 4pm.

The CLEO Runway Search aims to promote local talent and kick-start the modelling career of a real-girl who has the looks, personality and tenacity to be a top model.

A massive full-day casting event designed to encourage all young Singaporean women to challenge the modelling industry standards of beauty was held earlier on April 21.

In addition to providing young women with a platform to showcase their personality and talent, the event also reinforced the importance of self-confidence and a healthy body image.

Cheong Kamei, Editor of CLEO Singapore, said: “CLEO wants to challenge all the young women in Singapore to do extraordinary things. We’re encouraged by the immense response we’ve had for the casting event as well as the talent we’ve found this year, and we’re confident you’ll be seeing a lot more of them after the CLEO Runway Search.”

“As the number one young women’s magazine in Singapore, CLEO takes pride in delivering fashion and beauty in healthy and empowering ways, and CLEO Runway Search is really one big celebration of what the magazine stands for.” Kamei added.

Grace Leong, winner of CLEO Runway Search 2011, as well as CLEO’s Eligible Bachelors will also be walking down the runway alongside the 12 finalists this year.

The winner of the CLEO Runway Search 2012 will walk away with a one-year modelling contract with Carrie Models, $1,000 worth of products from Levi's, $1,000 cash prize and a six-page fashion spread in CLEO.
