ITE modelling competition bigger and better this year

ITE-Carrie's Next Top Model Search 2012 started out last year as a collaboration between modelling agency Carrie Models International and ITE College East.

Said Ms Linda Teo, managing director of Carrie Models International: "We came up with this idea last year and it has been amazing working on this project.

"We get to see young and fresh talent and groom the potential in them.

"Also, this collaboration acts as a (training ground) for the students to prepare them for the real world."

Added Mr Eden Liew, the principal of ITE College East: "It started out as a small-scale event last year, where only ITE College East was involved.

"We see the different faculties working together to come up with this event. Hair, make-up, lighting, photography and video... the whole school is involved in this project.

"This year saw all the ITE colleges involved. It is wonderful to see the students improve on their confidence, presentation and life skills through this event."
