All is going well for Carina Lau, who turned 45 on Wednesday.

Apart from a steady stream of movie roles and endorsements, and commercials, the actress will be making her debut in the fashion industry as well.

Carina Lau celebrated her birthday at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Shanghai Tuesday night with Tony Leung, who gave his wife a kiss for her 45th birthday.

Good friends Faye Wong and husband Li Ya-peng, Li Bingbing, Hu Jun, Jia Jingwen, Cecilia Yip and husband, Li Dongtian, Zhou Libo and wife all turned up for the celebration and gave their warmest wishes.

The celebratory event was reported to be a masquerade where female celebrities appeared in various feathered masks. The guests also danced in front of the stage to dance tunes which were played halfway through the banquet.

In other related news, Tony recently took a day off from his latest movie, The Grand Master, to support Carina at the opening ceremony for a new clothing brand Fujiwara, which she is an agent for.

After the show, an excited Carina took her husband by the arm and strutted down the runway together where a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held.

At the event, Carina also revealed Tony would make it a point to celebrate her birthday every year. Unlike previous times, Carina specially requested for Wong Kar-wai, the director of The Grand Master, to give him a day off for her birthday celebrations.

The actress also expressed that her heart aches each time Tony sustains injuries due to filming as he is a person without martial arts background. However, she is still happy and supportive of her husband because he is doing something he loves.
