Politician's wife, mother and businesswoman always in style
by Cat Arambulo-Antonio

Young, talented and ambitious, Patricia "Patch" Savellano-Singson juggles being a politician's wife, mother and entrepreneur at the tender age of 23.

She takes care of her husband and watches over her 2-year-old daughter Elise while flying back and forth between Manila and Vigan every other week to manage/oversee her dessert bar, Dulcelise.

As the daughter of Vice Gov. DV Savellano and wife of Rep. Ryan Singson, Patch is well-versed in the world of politics. Today, she uses her role to give back to the community by spearheading projects such as medical missions, gift-giving activities during the holidays and feeding programs for the Vigan community.

She manages all these while staying pretty, looking fresh and living in impeccable style.

Name: Patricia Angelique Marie Savellano Singson

Nickname: Patch

Age: 23

Children: Elise Natalia Marie S. Singson, 2 years old

Profession: entrepreneur, owner of Dulcelise Dessert Bar

What's your motto in life?

Live like there's no tomorrow!

Describe yourself in five sentences.

I'm a God-fearing person. I see to it that I don't do any wrong to anybody. I see to it that at the end of the day I've touched people's hearts. I'm also a big dreamer and a very persevering person. I strive hard to reach my goals, and strive harder if I can't seem to reach them.

Define your style.

Adventurous. I wear whatever I want even if it's not in style or what people expect me to wear. I just wear whatever I feel comfortable in.

What would you not be caught dead wearing?

I'm very experimental when it comes to clothing, so I can't think of any.

You have many roles that you play in your life. What different looks do you have for each?

As a politician's wife, I go for Audrey Hepburn-like outfits. I want to look simple and presentable. As a mother and businesswoman, I wear anything I want-anything I'm comfortable with, but not flashy. How do you change your look from day to night?

I rarely change outfits in a day (only when needed). What I wear when I leave home is what I'd be wearing at the end of the day, but sometimes I wear coats to accent my outfit at night. When I have parties at night, I wear classic dresses with an edge. I usually accent my clothes with "fighter" heels.

Who are your beauty icons?

Audrey Hepburn! Her style is timeless. I also love Blake Lively. She's fearless and carries herself very well.

What is your beauty regimen?

I just wash my face when I wake up and before I go to bed. I also put moisturizer at night (when I remember). I'm not really religious when it comes to doing my beauty regimen.

What kind of moisturizer do you use?

Shiseido night cream

What's your favorite nail polish for the holiday season?

I just love colors, bright colors! Well, it really depends on my mood. Now I'm into cracked nails, gold and magenta.

Your favorite hairstyles?

I love braids, especially waterfall braids. Curly hair and straight hair are timeless. Everything really depends on my mood for the day.

How do you manage to keep your hair in tip-top shape from day to night?

I use curling iron and flat iron to style my hair. Basically, I'm addicted to and can't live without them. They're my savior on bad-hair days!

What curling iron/flat iron brand do you use?

Revlon curling and flat iron

Where's your favorite parlor and who's your favorite hair stylist?

Edward Doblado of Ed's salon. I've been seeing him for five years now. He's my hair god!

You change your hair a lot. What product do you use to keep it shiny and healthy?

I do keratin treatment almost every three months, and use keratin shampoo and conditioner, too.

What's your makeup philosophy?

Less is really more!

What's the one facial feature you love to emphasize?

My eyes.

What product do you use for your eyes and how do you emphasize them?

I use MAC products for my eyes. I love the eye shadows, since there are so many shades to choose and experiment on. I love doing smokey eyes with different colors (black, blue, violet, etc). To accentuate your eyes, I believe you should put darker shades on the sides of you eyelids.

What's your favorite lip gloss/lipstick?

MAC! Amazing colors! Your favorite scent? Perry Ellis Your secret to staying fit?

I try to eat everything in moderation. I try. And I do yoga.

How do you manage and balance everything in your life?

It's not really hard. Basically, I just live one day at a time. I just see to it that everything is okay and in order.

What is the most challenging thing about your multiple roles?

Being a mother is the most challenging part in life, because it's me who will create and mold my daughter into who she'll be in the future. So I see to it that I show the best example to her. What is the best thing about being a mother?

That you can pass everything you've learned from your life and let her avoid the difficulties you've encountered. Another thing is, you can just be yourself to her anytime and every time, and she'll just love you no matter what.

Who inspires you?

My daughter. I wake up everyday for her. And, of course, my husband Ryan.

How do you spend your Sundays?

We go to church then have dinner or go to the mall and watch a movie. We also go to Timezone, since it's Elise's favorite place.

What has been your greatest accomplishment so far?

My greatest accomplishment is seeing my daughter and husband happy and content.

What causes are you passionate about or are currently involved in?

I have a local NGO called Yapis, which stands for Young Achievers and Professionals Into Service. We do medical missions every quarter of the year. We're also planning to do a concert for a cause and a charity fun run.

What are your beauty tips in maintaining a fresh and effortless look despite a hectic schedule?

I'm a low-maintenance person. The only important thing I do and everybody should do is wash the face upon waking up and before going to bed.

Also, for those who have pimples, never prick them, or else you'll have holes in your face. I always tell my friends that. It bothers me when they prick their pimples.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

I want to see myself more content with life. Also, more businesses, and maybe an additional kid in our family.
