Jacelyn Tay gets married in private wedding

WHEN blindfolded groom Brian Wong felt that peck on his cheek, he was sure those lips belonged to his radiant bride, ex-MediaCorp actress Jacelyn Tay.

After all, the hand that rested on his was the comforting touch of his wife, whom he had dated for two years. Little did the 42-year-old businessman know that this was all part of local comedienne Patricia Mok’s masterful plan.

Yes, it was Mok who had smooched him on the cheek in the guess-my-wife’s-kiss game, which took place in front of 560 guests at the wedding dinner at the Pan Pacific hotel ballroom on Sunday night.

Mok related the incident to The New Paper yesterday. No media representatives were invited to the dinner, which was attended by the couple’s family, relatives and friends, including celebrities Chen Hanwei, Jack Neo, Ann Kok, Terence Cao, Huang Shinan, Pan Lingling,Yvonne Lim, Zheng Geping andRayson Tan.

Said Mok, 39: “Other than the bride, I was the only female who kissed him. When Jacelyn kissed him (on the nose), Brian did get it right in the end.”

And the unsuspecting groom even had to endure the kisses of five men.

Actor Christopher Lee and deejay Glenn Ong were two of them. The rest were the couple’s friends. Tay, 35, was good-natured and couldn’t stop laughing throughout the game, even when she heard Ong’s “ominous” confession.

Tay, currently the owner of wellness centre Body Inc., told The New Paper: “Glenn said it wasn’t the first time that he had kissed Brian. So I wondered (when they had smooched before). I’ll ask him the next time I see him!”
