To follow this trend to the letter, you need the must-have item – shoes which are works of art in their own right, such as those inspired by Brancuzi seen at the John Galliano show, or the wedged boots seen at Kenzo with double platforms, in leather, fur or printed and even with stiletto heels.

Louis Vuitton’s versions were more feminine with pointed toes.

Even if platforms were well presented at the Alexander McQueen show, he also showed off shoes which had a drag queen look whilst remaining couture. A good excuse for arriving late as keeping your balance doesn’t look easy!
