Carla : Jean Paul Gaultier and I go back a long way and we've always stayed in touch. We worked together when I had the chance to walk for him when I was a model, and we became friends straight away and so when I started this foundation I asked Jean Paul Gaultier if he would be on the board of this foundation, and he brings us not only his intelligence and his extraordinary talent, but also his generosity, his brilliance and his ideas. In regards to my foundation, we aim to provide young people who find themselves in undesirable situations an access to culture and education, as well as an access to jobs in the arts and crafts industry, as they make up the foundation of the worlds of fashion and couture, which are a big part of France's heritage. So, naturally Jean Paul accepted my offer to join the board of the foundation and agreed to help us, and since then we have done lots of projects together, and for me it is a huge pleasure to be working with him, and for as long as we are a part of this foundation together, I will be grateful to him everyday.

Jean Paul : For this foundation, she does a lot of work with illiterate people who have difficulty following their studies, and subsequently with finding jobs as well, even in the fashion industry and so from time to time I take a look at the personal files of those who are interested in working in fashion. And also, she does a lot of work for the fight against AIDS because obviously, we are all very concerned about that, so I help her with certain projects and I participate as well, just by being available to design a t-shirt from time to time, and to help find the money to fund these projects.
