Snow white wedding for Tarcy Su

Taipei - It was snowing outside and raining flower petals inside the stunning Chapel On The Water designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, as Taiwanese singer Tarcy Su walked down the aisle with skateboard businessman Jimmy Sun in Hokkaido, Japan, on Wednesday.

"I really felt married then," she said of the ceremony in the chapel with huge French windows, when she spoke to Taiwan Apple Daily in a telephone interview.

The wedding at Hoshino Resort was attended by 56 relatives and friends, such as singer Valen Hsu, actor Chang Chen, director Doze Niu and television host Tuo Tsung-kang, said the report.

The chapel ceremony was followed by dinner in a restaurant at the resort, a building like a glass box through which snow-covered birch trees were visible.

As the guests had flown in at their own expense, the couple did not accept gifts at their ceremony. They are also paying for the guests' three-day stay at the resort.

The 43-year-old bride and her 44-year-old boyfriend of two years registered their marriage in Taiwan on March 6. He has a seven-year-old daughter from a previous marriage, who now calls Su "mummy", said the report.

The couple's new home is being decorated and they will probably move in around May.

Until then, they will live separately. Su said: "I can pretend I'm still single for a while."
