Four of the best in AsianCouture took centrestage at Marina Bay Sands on Tuesday, Nov 27 for the Asian couture 2012 Women Fashion Week.
Doors to the Pavilion, Bayfront, at The Shoppes At Marina Bay Sands were officially opened to guests for the event.
Showcasing their exquisite, breath-taking and awe-inspiring creations to impressed guests were Guo Pei (China), Asava (Thailand), Barney Cheng (Hong Kong) and Torgo (Mongolia).
Among the models was Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh, who showcased a piece for the leading lady of Asian couture, designer Guo Pei.
The former TVB actress, who is now based in China, sashayed down the runway in an ornate gold cheongsam with ruffles down the front and an intricate long train.
When interviewed by digital correspondent Jeannie Mai, Sheh said she loved Guo's "gorgeous" designs and was more than happy to participate in the show.
But Sheh sheepishly admitted that she stepped on the dress while on the runway, although she managed to keep her cool.
Guo kicked off the showcase with her breathtaking pieces which are inspired by her life, as well as the asian dragon. The glass stage was also sculptured to reflect her inspiration.
