Miriam Yeung gives birth to baby boy

Hong Kong actress and new mum Miriam Yeung is reported to have an 'army' of helpers surrounding her, in order to ward off possible post-partum depression.

Yeung, 38, who is married to public relations consultant Real Ting, 38, gave birth to their son on June 5. The couple named their boy Torres, after Spanish football player Fernando Torres.

The 7.6-pound (3.34kg) baby was delivered via Caesarean section at the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital.

Worried that Yeung may suffer post-natal depression from being cooped up at home with Torres during her confinement, Ting gathered a team of 10 to take care of her, reported the Hong Kong media.

They include confinement nannies, maids, and the couple's parents.

Yeung was discharged from hospital on Saturday, and has reportedly been well taken care of round-the-clock, with meal-times lasting several hours.

Ting has reportedly taken three weeks of leave to accompany his wife, with the couple's families taking turns to visit mother and baby every week.

An insider revealed that Ting had banned Yeung from leaving the house during her confinement, but seeing that she is recovering well, he has since promised that he will take her shopping in two weeks.

Reports say Ting will not hold first month celebrations for Torres, but may instead throw a surprise party to cheer Yeung up.
