Give your eyes that special sparkle
by Cynthia Loh

Eye make-up

- Eye make-up can be simple and quick. Brush some eye colour that carries a hint of glitter onto undereyes to brighten up your look. This is also a quick fix for dark circles.

- Kevin observed that Singaporean women are very fond of eyeliner, but he advises against using it as women here love to draw it on thick.

This will cause your double eyelids, if any, to become hidden.

- Instead, use an eyelash curler and mascara to 'open' up your eyes.

- When using your eyelash curler, be sure to curl your lashes in a step-by-step motion, so that lashes naturally curl upwards.

- Mascara should be applied first at the base of eyelashes and be allowed to dry, before proceeding to coat the rest of the lashes. This will prevent your eyelashes from drooping after mascara is used.

- Separate your lashes with a cotton bud if necessary.

- For eyelids, apply a single sweep of colour to the upper eyelid with a fingertip if you're in a rush.

- When concealing dark eye circles and eye bags, always dab cream onto affected areas using your fingertip. Do not rub it in.

Eyebrows
- Eyebrows frame our face, so it is important to have well-drawn eyebrows.

- It is also important to choose the correct colour and remember that eyebrows should match the colour of your hair.

People who have red-dyed hair should use reddish-brown colours to draw their eyebrows with.

However, if you have black hair, you should not use  black on your eyebrow. Instead opt for a grey colour or coffee brown, as these colours will allow you to look more natural.
