Girls, unleash your inner WAG
by Yeo Wee Teck

UNLEASH your inner WAG. And as this is Singapore, call yourselves SWAGs (Singaporean wives and girlfriends).

You don’t even need to have a partner who’s an athlete – it’s the attitude that counts.

A WAG needs a designer wardrobe, sunglasses and the paparazzi. A SWAG needs to know how to shop smart and work the angles for camwhoring sessions.

THE LOOK

The hair is always big. If you have curls, lucky you. Just amp it up with mousse. Girls with straight hair - invest in a good set of curlers and a curling tong. The face is perfectly made up but glossy lips and dark eyes are key.

Tinted gloss is good for the day. Dab that one and don’t forget the eyeliner.
Your eyes will be hidden by a pair of huge sunglasses but you’ll need to know you’re perfect inside too.

And all SWAGs must be best friends with their eyebrow specialist because the right arc is what stands between being a SWAG and being a tart.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a house party at Serangoon Road or a wedding in town or your classmates’ gathering at Pasir Ris – the clothes have to fit perfectly and be paparazzi-ready.

An outfit that displays the cleavage with class is the best find. Take advantage of the ongoing sale now to get your SWAG gear.

If you cannot work a pair of high heels - at least 10cms please - you might as well be excused from SWAGdom. High heels are vital.

THE ATTITUDE

When confronted with a camera, channel your inner Victoria Beckham and pout.
Don’t pucker your lips like you’ve sucked on a lemon though. The mouth must end up slightly open, relaxed and not upturned.

And when taking a photo with a fellow SWAG, forget friendship and grab the spot to highlight your better side. If a little nudging is involved, so be it. Nothing should come in the way of a SWAG and her perfect photo op.
