Tips for SWAGwear
by Yeo Wee Teck

FOR the SWAG about town, show the legs
and the cleavage.

Even in our diabolically humid weather,
looking turned out is important.

Nurul (left) wears a toga floral dress that is
perfect after you’ve had a sun tanning
session. Go crazy with the bangles because
it’ll be your own personal chime to announce
your arrival.

And if you have a less-than-impressive
chest, Sherena’s (right) dress is perfect to
fake it. The most important accessories here:
Sunglasses and a mobile phone, in case you
need to Tweet the latest gossip.

WHEN at work, it doesn’t mean your
SWAGness needs to take a leave of absence.

True, you’ll need to tone it down for the
corporate world – unless you’re a
supermodel or popstar – but you can still
display that animal within you.

Animal prints are hot and SWAGs are
always spot-on with trends (or fashion
victims, whichever way you look at it).

The trench may be too warm for the day
but you have to suffer for beauty.

JUST because it’s the weekend, it doesn’t
mean the SWAG gets any time off.

Any time is display time.

This tube dress with a tulip skirt is good
on days you feel bloated because it hides a
lot.

Have a lot of accessories to distract the
eye.

And if you’ve skipped gym for a spell, then
a necklace or bold earrings will draw the eyes
away the problem area long enough for you to
think of a workout plan.

THE WAGs shine best at a gala. But SWAGS may
not have the luxury of too many gala events in
Singapore.

Still, all is not wasted.

Organise your own dress up party or hope
you’ve got many weddings to attend. Who cares
if you outshine the bride? You’re a SWAG!

The short dress Nurul (left) is wearing is best
for cocktails, while Sherena is ready for her ball.
At night, always, always, always wear heels. And
the higher the better.

Here’s a tip to pose for a photo: Arch your
back to create curves and bend your knee just a
tad to make your legs look even longer.
