Problem: Eyebags

The blueish veins in my undereye area are prominent and I have grey eyebags which make me look beaten up or tired even when I’ve just woken up. I’ve tried different concealers and correctors but they are of little use.

Norman Pohl says: Instead of merely concentrating on covering up the veins and eyebags, I used make-up to enhance her best features – her skin and cheekbones – to draw attention away from her perceived flaws.

As she has good skin, I simply blended liquid foundation onto areas that require evening out and then added pink blush to make her cheeks pop out.

I used Dior’s Skinflash brightener to lighten her undereye area and a thin layer of Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer to even out the colour.

Make-up tip: If you have dark eye circles, do not apply mascara to your lower eyelashes as even the most waterproof formulas may smudge and make your undereye area look even darker.

Instead of piling on concealer, apply foundation all over your eyes, (including the lids) first. This way, you can see for yourself how much more coverage you require so you will not overdo the concealing effect.

Her verdict: Norman enhanced my features and made me appreciate them. I am not conscious of my eyebags any more. Even though I am wearing more make-up than I normally would, I still look like myself.

Best of all, it will take me only about 10 minutes to achieve this look on my own.
