Three skincare products banned in Malaysia

PETALING JAYA, Malaysia - The Health Ministry has banned three skincare products found to contain the scheduled poisons tretinoin and hydroquinone.

The public should avoid buying or using Zara Rejuvenation as well as Beauty Line Beautitude Multi-Purpose Cream and Pigmentation Recovery Complex.

Department senior director Eisah A. Rahman said the product notifications had been cancelled following the detection of the poisons which had possible side effects if used without medical supervision.

“Anyone with stocks of the listed products should stop selling and distributing them immediately,” Eisah said in a press statement.
