Clarins Everlasting Foundation SPF 15

The Clarins Everlasting Foundation SPF 15 is a foundation that promises to last you beyond a day. With a melting texture that provides flawless coverage for a radiant and even make-up result.

The foundation boasts of a plant-based micro-patch  that forms a film on skin that protects against dehydration. A molecule shield forms on the skin surface to help seal in essential moisture and reduces the risk of evaporation, while a moisture reservoir progressively provides skin with the moisture it needs over time, to help skin look toned and feel comfortable.

The foundation uses an exclusive "Light Optimizing" complex that combines soft focus pigments and mother of pearl to capture, diffuse and magnify light, so that skin appears smooth as fine lines and imperfections are optically "erased". It also protects against pollution and free radicals, with a white tea extract. White tea is a natural protector that helps skin to fight environmental aggressions and slow down the appearance of lines, with its high content of flavanoids, which are antioxidant molecules that are capable of trapping free radicals.

SPF 15 offers protection against UVA and UVB rays.

Clarins Everlasting Foundation SPF 15 is available in six shades and retails at S$55 from all Clarins beauty counters.

Diva's review: We liked the performance of this foundation. It was light, easy to apply and does not feel dry on skin. It also dried quickly after application and allowed us to wear the rest of our make-up without too much of a wait. After an entire day of wear from 9am to 8pm, the colour of the foundation stayed true and did not oxidise or change colour.  It also felt comfortable and light on the skin during wear.

So, the foundation does what it says.

Now, the not-so-good side was that the foundation clogged our tester's pores after a whole day of wear, and she found herself dealing with a minor pimple break-out the next day. Some may put this down to not having removed all traces of foundation, or that our tester probably wore it for too long. As with all foundationsf, be sure to prime your face with a make-up base first before applying.

Our verdict: This will be suitable for women who have more resilient skin, but need help to cover up skin imperfections, such as pigmentation. But if you have sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts and is on the oily side, you're better off looking at something else.
