Looking to prep up those eyes after a long night? Origins latest morning-after eye cream that instantly reduces dark circles. Origins' proprietary complex of Caffeine from coffee bean, Panax Ginseng, Magnolia Extract and natural optic brighteners rapidly wakes up, refreshes and restores radiance to tired eyes.

This eye cream promises 86 per cent brighter appearance and 80 per cent reduction in puffiness.

Retails at all Origins beauty counters for S$60 (15ml).

Diva's review: This is a straightforward performer that does what it says - it brightens tired-looking eyes and reduces those puffy-looking eyebags that showed themselves after too many late and long nights.

Those natural optic brighteners that the press release mentions do work. First application already lightens the skin around the eyes, and it's good for those among us who constantly battle undereye circles. And we all know what caffeine and ginseng do for our systems, right? (By the way, we get undereye circles because there's fat deposit there. As we age, our skin gets droopy, and so does the skin around our eyes. Other causes include water retention, and even rubbing our eyes can cause eye bags to look more pronounced. Genetics can also play a part. So if your mum sported eye bags, chances are you most likely will too.)

The zesty sensation that was felt after applying the cream was a little surprising at first, but faded away quickly enough to leave a nice after-effect that was most remniscient of drinking calamansi juice on a hot day.

And we may be wrong, but it could be that this zingy sensation also does help to get the blood circulating around our eyes, and that helps to aid our skin in reducing water retention.
