Come 2 April, Orchard Road celebrates fashion in a big way.
The Orchard Road Business Association will be partnering Singapore Press Holdings and MasterCard in a fashion extravaganza - Fashion Season @ Orchard 2010 to bring shoppers and fashion-watchers six weeks of events and parties.
Major events include a mega catwalk collection show by fashion magazines Female and Nuyou, fashion parties at Paragon, 313@Somerset, The CentrePoint, Orchard Central, TANGS Orchard and Paragon. An official launch party will be held at the foyer of Mandarin Gallery, complete with fashion show and entertainment for shoppers and invited guests.

Canon FSO Fashion Photography - exhibition and competition (2 April - 9 May)
Singapore's first large scale street exhibition featuring fashion photography. 50 works by professional fashion photographer Zhang Jingna will be on display along Orchard Road.
There will also be the first Canon FSO Fashion Photography Challenge, a contest that is open to all photographers and with over $7.442 worth of prizes to be won. There is a top prize of a Canon EOS 7D Kit with EF-S 18-135IS worth $3,429.
Female & Nuyou Catwalk Collection show and annual Orchard Outdoor Runway (10 April)
From 7 - 10pm, catch a glimpse of the action at the pedestrian walkway fronting Paragon. With 125 models in 10 designer labels - Aigner, alldressedup, Etro, Island Shop, Levi's, Liz Clairborne, New Look, Sonia Rykiel, T.M Lewin, and Vivienne Westwood, this promises to be a visual spectacle.
Whether you intend to celebrity watch, or ogle the fashion parade, there will be something of interest for everyone. Celebrity fashionista Junita Simon will host the event.
Vote for your favourite FSO Asian Model
The public will be invited to cast their vote for their favourite FSO Asian Model from amongst 10 Asian models selected by a panel of fashion industry experts in an interactive public feature and help to discover the next Asian model talent. Stand to win $1,000 worth of shopping vouchers and prizes.
Fashion Styling Workshops for all (16 - 25 April)
The FSO Fashion Styling Workshop @ The Centrepoint will see participants being guided by personal stylist R S Danny to achieve a stylish Spring/Summer look and wardrobe selection from Aigner, Aldo, Esprit, Giuseppe Zanotti, Levi's, Liz Clairborne, Marks &Spencer, New Look, Robinsons, T.M. Lewin and United Colors of Benetton in a walk-in wardrobe experience. Hairstyling sessions by CApello Loft with Redken products, photo-shoots by Canon and goodie bags worth more than $100 await at $60 per person. Mastercard holders enjoy $10 off.
