Get the look: Sheer
by Ian Lee

  • To wear sheer like on the runways, a slender silhouette is advised. if your body is far from perfect, wear a slip underneath sheer fabrics.
  • If you don't want to go sheer from top to toe, slip on a pair of sheer stockings or tights. You can also opt for sheer inserts and details.
  • Skip the bland dress under a tailored jacket ensemble you usually wear for meetings and opt for a laced number like D&G's (photo 1) or Armani Exchange's (photo 2). It is a way to be on-trend without the big reveal.
  • Accessories such as this BLVD bangle (photo 3) and Dolce & Gabbana hair pins (photo 4) and earrings (photo 5) help sheer shimmer at night.
  • Corsets and bustiers, worn as tops or as part of dresses, work for all shapes and sizes as they hold you in, push you up and give curves where none exist. For a great party look, don a nude corset or bustier top with a fitted black blazer, dark skinny jeans and a pair of killer heels or booties.
