THE skintight diamante catsuit was the talk of the countdown party at New York’s Times Square.

Jennifer Lopez’s sparkly, body-hugging get-up left little to the imagination, New York Daily News reported.

Her strikingly slim figure was on full display. The costume appeared sheer under the bright lights and revealed her famous derriere has apparently shrunk.

Host Ryan Seacrest said the ensemble “made my year”.

Needless to say, the figure-hugging outfit stole the show, according to the Daily Mail.

She teamed the catsuit with a pair of matching diamante studded ankle boots.

Lopez, 41, grew up in Bronx, but said that she has never been to Times Square to celebrate the new year.

Despite miserable weather, more than 750,000 revellers braved the cold and rain to watch J-Lo sing. Millions also watched the show on television.

Her audience cheered as she writhed on the stage before performing Frank Sinatra’s classic New York, New York.
