Is eyebrow tattooing advisable?

Q Do men undergo eyebrow tattooing procedures? What other options are available? I would like to find out more as my girlfriend has made aneyebrow tattooing appointment for me and I am wondering how it will turn out.

A I hope you have not gone through with the procedure because eyebrow tattooing is likely to leave you looking a little bit odd.

Says Janet Lim, PR manager for Spa Esprit, which runs the Browhaus grooming salons in Singapore: “Eyebrow tattooing tends to result in brows of a greenish hue.

It is also permanent.

You will need to undergo laser treatment if you ever wish to undo the effect.”

You may be better off opting for newer eyebrow grooming services like Browhaus’ Brow Resurrection procedure, which costs $1,200.

A blade creates brow-like strokes on your skin, which are then stained with a natural vegetable dye.

The result looks much more natural than the conventional eyebrow tattoo and lasts for two years.

Check out www.browhaus.com for the locations of its outlets.

However, do let the staff at Browhaus advise you on whether you really do need such a treatment. Sometimes, all guys need is a quick tweeze (above) or threading to clear up stray hairs for neater looking brows.
