Life goes on for Dewi Sandra

JAKARTA: Having officially ended her second marriage, singer Dewi Sandra has listed her new priorities in life. For her, life — and her shows — must go on.

“I still want to build a family and have children. But right now I also have other things that I want to do in life,” said the singer who has just got divorced with singer Glenn Fredly.

Among the things on her list is setting up a free school for children from poor families, she said.
“I want to do something that can help others. As soon as I have enough money, I want to set up a school. A free one,” Dewi said.

It seems that children and education are one of her hidden interests. Once when she was a teenager, the 29-year-old initiated an English course.

“The course only lasted for six months. We are only teaching children in the neighborhood,” said the singer, who occasionally has a go at hosting TV shows.

“As a human being, I have a lot more dreams,” she said. “Currently, I’m just living life, continuing my tour and album promo. But, in the long run, I want to make it [the school] happen.” — The Jakarta Post
