JENSON Button is not just experiencing a spectacular revival of fortunes in his Formula One racing career, with two race wins out of two this season.

The Briton is also giving defending champion Lewis Hamilton some serious competition in the WAGs (Wives and Girlfriends) stakes.

Pit-lane photographers have spent the last two seasons with lenses pointed exclusively at Nicole Scherzinger, Hamilton’s girlfriend from pop group Pussycat Dolls.

However, in lingerie model Jessica Michibata, Button has a girlfriend who has the potential to challenge Scherzinger for pole position, reported The Telegraph.

The 24-year-old half Japanese, half Argentinian is the latest in a long line of young ladies to share a motorhome with Button, a man described as “untameable” by some of her predecessors.

The duo have been dating for six months, and made tabloid fodder at the Australian Grand Prix last Sunday.

While the paparazzi reported them having romantic dinners in Melbourne, The Sun reported that Button kept the media waiting for almost 15 minutes after his win, for an impromptu snog with Michibata in his Brawn GP team office.

An insider said he locked the office, emerged after 10 minutes with a huge grin, and said: “It got a bit steamy in there.”

On Sunday in Sepang, Michibata watched Button win a rain-soaked Malaysia Grand Prix from the paddock with Button’s father, John.

Word was that celebrations were far less raunchy than in Melbourne.

Meanwhile, Scherzinger was conspicuous by her absence in Melbourne, with reports claiming that her two-year relationship with Hamilton is under strain.

She is touring in America and, with Hamilton equally busy trying to make his McLaren competitive again, the pair have had few opportunities to spend time together.
