Chinese model stuns in outrageous see-through dress

A Chinese model recently made the headines after she turned up for a public event in an outrageous see-through dress, reported Lollipop.com.

According to online media reports, the model was hired for promotional activities for a commercial centre in Guangdong, China.

She was introduced by the organiser as Miss International Chinese Pageant 2013 winner, Xu Zi Xin.

The custom-made dress reportedly cost a whopping six-figure sum.

Photos from the event showed Xu tightly surrounded by the mostly male audience, many of whom requested for photos with Xu.

But the crowd turned rowdy as many jostled in an attempt to get closer to the model.

Xu was criticised for donning the revealing dress in a deliberate attempt to steal the limelight.

But in a post-event interview, Xu explained that she chose to wear the dress as she really liked the design and felt beautiful in it.

Sheer dress trend takes world by storm

The sheer dress took the fashion world by storm last year, not just in Hollywood but also in Asia, reported SPH Razor.

From Gwyneth Paltrow to Paris Hilton and Thor actress Jaimie Alexander, they set tongues wagging with their 'bare-it-more' dresses.

Some dresses may not look like showstoppers from the front, but the sheer side panels drew wondering eyes.

The sheer effect showed off their shapely curves, which all but required them to go commando.

Dare-devils like Miley Cyrus upped the stakes in the flesh-baring contest, while others took the more conservative route, using lace and sequins to play peekaboo with fans.

In Asia, many have also embraced the see-through trend.

In the SPH Razor video clip, Singaporeans gave their take on who succeeded in being an artful tease, and which dresses were downright vulgar.
