What was meant to be her big day turned out to be a very bitter experience for a lecturer when her husband-to-be failed to show up for their wedding, reported Metro Ahad.
Yaya (not her real name), 28, was forced to convert her wedding ceremony three days ago into a Maulidur Rasul event after her groom did not turn up after three hours of waiting.
Yaya, from Pengkalan Chepa in Kelantan, met the man via a matchmaking website in May last year.
He had claimed to be single and employed at a well-known company in Baling, Kedah.
Before the wedding, Yaya had given her fiance a total of RM60,000 (S$23, 000) in two instalments at his request, purportedly for wedding expenses.
Yaya's family went to look for him at his parents' house but he had absconded.
The man's father, who was at the house, said his son was married and did not have a permanent job.
A police report has been lodged against the man.
Only marry a man who loves U more than U love him then can stay happily married everafter ... :D
