SINGAPORE - Hong Kong-based Taiwanese actress Charlie Young wed Singaporean beau Khoo Shao Tze, 43, at a star-studded wedding at the W Hotel in Sentosa on Saturday evening, reported Lianhe Wanbao and omy.sg.

Stars like Anita Yuen, Gigi Leung and her husband Sergio and director Tsui Hark were in attendance.

Aaron Kwok could not make it to the wedding, said his manager, Xiao Mei, but he sent a congratulatory note via a video recording, which was played to Young.

The bride and groom appeared before the media at about 8pm, and fielded questions from reporters just before they stepped into the ballroom. The couple were openly affectionate, kissing at least four times in front of cameras, reported Wanbao.

Young said the pair will shuttle between Singapore and Hong Kong after marriage, as her parents are currently staying in Hong Kong. As for baby-making plans, Young says they will "let nature take its course".

When asked what attracted him most to Young, Khoo cheekily asked: "How much time do we have?" Before admitting that she has "always been an angel" in his eyes. But he declined to reveal how he proposed to the actress.

Hong Kong actress and guest at the wedding, Anita Yuen, told reporters she had known about Young's wedding plans "long before the media", but kept it a secret as "that's what friends are supposed to do".

Other celebrities spotted at the star-studded affair included Taiwanese singer Valen Hsu, actress Angelica Lee and Singapore's own Pierre Png and Andrea D'Cruz.
