How to wear my scarves and wraps again

Q: Scarves and wraps seem in vogue again.  I have a bright orange one and a pink one. How should I wear them?

Also, what should the rest of my ensemble be made up of for a casual evening out?

A: Unless you consciously intend to look like a clown, don't wear both scarves of those colours together.

Since bright colours such as fuschia pink and mandarin orange are 'it' colours this Spring/Summer on the runways, you can safely wear your wraps and go with the trend's flow.

You can wear them separately over your shoulders, or wrapped around the neck as an accessory, or even use as a sarong skirt

For a casual evening out, turn your scarf into a halter top if it is big enough, and pair it with dark-washed jeans. If your scarf is a solid colour, go for gold or ethinic-inspired jewellery to match. If it has a lovely print, a pair of dangling earrings will do the job.

Other ways to jazz up an evening outfit with your scarf - wrap it around the head like a turban, or even a belt.
