One size doesn't fit all

Q: How can my husband hide his love handles when he wears jeans? Men can't wear girdles like women, so how to smooth that bulge?

A: Your husband may be wearing wrong-sized jeans. The waistline of the jeans should fit snugly across his waist. But it should not be too tight that his stomach appears squeezed.

Or he may be wearing low-rise jeans which are intended to sit low on, or below, the hips. The rise of a jeans is the distance between the crotch and the waist, and the rise of a pair of lowcut jeans is shorter than regular ones. Jeans are low-rise if they sit at least three inches below the belly button.

In which case, he may want to explore regular-rise jeans, so that his tummy will not spill over the waistline and allow for a better fit.

Answers provided by fashion designer, Beno Asmoro. His creations can be found at his boutique Beno, at Millennia Walk.
