Wedding day tips: Keep make-up natural

If there is a time for a woman to take centre stage, it is when she is a bride.

All eyes will be on her.

This is the time to make sure that your make-up is flawless.

"Keep it natural," advises principal make-up trainer Watti Hary, 37.

Ms Hary suggests a muted look, with soft colours, high-definition liquid foundation make-up and a single focal point on the lips.

She says: "The trend now is the minimal look so as to look natural.

"It is also good to have a focus on either the lips or eyes." Ms Hary has 13 years of experience in the field. She is currently a trainer at Pro Academy, a make-up school.

For brides-to-be preparing for their big day, Ms Hary advises that they take care of their skin with a systematic routine of using moisturisers and going for facials to keep the skin hydrated.

On the day of the wedding, good foundation is essential.

To find the right one, she suggests that brides try out different kinds of foundation to find one that matches the skin tone well and that is longlasting.

Finally, she advises brides to let their own natural beauty shine.

"A natural look will allow brides to glow from within," she says.
